Admission Policy
Students regarded as suitable candidates will take diagnostic tests. Diagnostic tests may be taken at ISC-Muscat or at any other SABIS® member school, as arranged by the school.
Children applying for Level A (KG1 in Muscat, 3 years by the END OF JUNE) to Level C (Grade 1 in Muscat, 5 years by the END OF JUNE) will be interviewed.
Provisional registration may be considered for students not able to take diagnostic tests at any of our schools. (Please ask if interested).
The diagnostic tests cannot be administered before all the required documents are submitted.
Parents will be invited to register once diagnostic tests have been assessed and a placement decision made by the school.
The school does not guarantee or reserve places. Places are guaranteed only when the required fees are paid (i.e. when parents have made the commitment to enroll). Parents who delay registration may find no places available when they come to register.
Some candidates may find that student expectations in our system vary from those of other schools in the region. Our system places considerable emphasis on student accountability, responsibility, and respect of self and others. Student behavior expectations are high in order to facilitate student learning and promote good manners.
